Groundwire iOS Setup Guide
Set up Groundwire (Acrobits) on your iPhone to receive and make calls via HexaVoice.
Groundwire iOS Setup
Groundwire uses Apple's CallKit for a native call experience — incoming calls look exactly like regular phone calls.
Step 1: Install Groundwire
Purchase and install Groundwire from the App Store (one-time purchase, ~$10).
Step 2: Add SIP Account
Open Groundwire > Settings (gear icon) > Accounts > + to add account.
Select Generic SIP Account.
Step 3: Enter HexaVoice Credentials
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Label | HexaVoice |
| Username | Your SIP Username |
| Password | Your SIP Password |
| Domain | sip.hexavoice.net |
| Proxy | sip.hexavoice.net |
| Transport | TCP |
Step 4: Enable VoIP Push (CallKit)
Go to Account > Advanced > VoIP Push:
- Enable VoIP Push: ON
- This is what makes calls ring even when your phone is locked
Step 5: Allow Microphone Access
iOS will prompt for microphone permission — tap Allow.
Step 6: Test Registration
You should see a green checkmark next to your account. Make a test call.
Troubleshooting
Calls not ringing when phone is locked: Ensure VoIP Push is enabled AND the app has notification permission in iOS Settings.
One-way audio: Enable STUN server: stun.l.google.com:19302 in Advanced settings.
