How to Read and Download CDRs (Call Detail Records)
CDRs show you detailed records of every call made through your account — essential for billing and troubleshooting.
Understanding CDRs in HexaVoice
Call Detail Records (CDRs) capture everything about each call made through your account.
Accessing CDRs
- 1Log into HexaVoice dashboard
- 2Go to Reports > Call Records (CDR)
- 3Use filters to narrow down:
- Date range
- SIP account
- Direction (inbound/outbound)
- Destination country
CDR Fields Explained

| Date/Time | When the call started (UTC) |
| From | Calling party (CLI) |
| To | Called number |
| Duration | Billable seconds |
| Status | ANSWERED, BUSY, NO ANSWER, FAILED |
| Cost | Amount charged for the call |
| Route | Which carrier route was used |
| Codec | Audio codec used |
Disconnect Codes (Hangup Causes)
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 16 | Normal call clearing (successful) |
| 17 | User busy |
| 18 | No user answering |
| 19 | No answer from user (timeout) |
| 21 | Call rejected |
| 34 | No circuit available |
| 38 | Network out of order |
| 41 | Temporary failure |
| 42 | Switching equipment congestion |
Downloading CDRs
Click Export in the CDR view to download as CSV. This can be imported into Excel, your billing system, or CRM.
Using CDRs for Troubleshooting
If a call failed:
- 1Find it in CDR by date/time
- 2Check the Status and Disconnect Code
- 3Note the Route used
- 4Contact support with the CDR row if you need assistance
