How to Buy and Configure a DID Number
Purchase a local or toll-free DID number and connect it to your SIP endpoint or PBX in minutes.
Buying and Setting Up a DID Number
Step 1: Browse Available Numbers
- 1Log into HexaVoice dashboard
- 2Go to DID Numbers > Buy Number
- 3Select target country and city/area code
- 4Browse available numbers and click Select
Step 2: Choose Number Type

Step 3: Configure Call Routing
After purchase, set where inbound calls go:
- Forward to SIP URI: sip:[email protected]
- Forward to SIP Account: Directly to your HexaVoice SIP account
- Forward to PSTN Number: To a regular phone number
- Voicemail: Built-in voicemail with email notification
Step 4: Set CLI for Outbound
Go to SIP Accounts > Your Account > Outbound CLI and set your DID number as the outgoing Caller ID.
Step 5: Test
Call your DID number from an external phone. It should route to your configured destination.
Porting Existing Numbers
To port your existing number to HexaVoice, go to DID Numbers > Port a Number and submit a porting request. Processing takes 5–10 business days.
